What It Means to Be a G.E.M. (And Why I Call You That)
If you've been around Pretty & Charmed for any amount of time, you've heard me call you my gem. Not as a cute nickname I picked because it sounded nice. It's a whole philosophy, and today I want to break down exactly what it means, where it came from, and how you're supposed to actually use it in your life.
Why I Started Calling You Gem
A gem has value. Period. That's the whole foundation of it.
Real gems don't argue about their worth. They don't shrink themselves down to make other people comfortable. They sit there, cut and polished, catching light from every angle, and they let their value speak for itself. That's you. That's what I see when I look at my community.
But here's the part people skip past. Because a gem has value, it also attracts attention it didn't ask for.
Think about it. Nobody's trying to steal a rock off the ground. But a diamond? People will scheme, plot, and show up in your life for the wrong reasons just to get close to what you carry. That's why I always tell you to shine bright like a diamond and act expensive, because your energy needs to match the value you actually hold, not the value other people try to convince you that you don't have.
Your Value Isn't Just One Thing
I need you to understand your value isn't limited to how you look. That's such a small piece of it.
Your value could be the way you nurture the people around you. It could be your intelligence, the way your mind works, the way you solve problems other people can't. It could be your creativity, your smile, your body, your spirituality, your intuition. It's all of it, and it's specific to you.
And because it's real, some people can't stand it. People hate on what they can't have or don't have themselves. That's where the evil eye and the jealousy come from. It's not random. It's not you being paranoid. It's a direct response to your light being undeniable in a room full of people still looking for theirs.
So when you feel that shift, when someone's energy changes around you for no clear reason, understand what that actually is. It's not always malicious on a conscious level either. Sometimes people don't even realize they're doing it. But you still have to protect your energy from it regardless of their intention.
Where G.E.M. Actually Came From
Now here's the part that takes this deeper than just an affirmation.
Back in 2024, I hosted an online class called The Female Ego. That's where G.E.M. was actually born as an acronym, and it stands for Goals. Energy. Mindset.
The entire point of G.E.M. is to build a real, consistent relationship with your higher self, your Ori. Every decision, every fear, every opportunity, every relationship you're questioning, you run it through the filter of G.E.M.
Ask yourself:
Does this align with my Goals? Where you're actually trying to go, not where you settled for going.
Does this align with my Energy? Not just how you feel today, but the frequency you're trying to maintain and build.
Does this align with my Mindset? The mindset of the highest version of you, not the version still operating from old fear and old programming.
How to Use G.E.M. When Fear Shows Up
This is the part I want you to actually take with you and use, not just read and forget.
When fear comes up around a decision, and it will, ask yourself G.E.M. Does the thing I'm scared of align with my goals, my energy, and my mindset from my highest self?
If the answer is yes, you already know what you're meant to do. The fear isn't a stop sign. It's just noise you have to move through.
Here's why this matters so much. A lot of us can't tell the difference between fear and genuine caution. They can feel identical in the body. Your heart races either way. Your stomach drops either way. But when you run it through G.E.M. and the answer still comes back aligned, you know what you're actually dealing with is fear, not intuition.
And fear, remember, is False Evidence Appearing Real. It feels real. It talks like it's protecting you. But most of the time it's just an old story trying to keep you small and familiar instead of letting you grow into who you're actually becoming.
Why This Matters for You as My Gem
This is why I don't just call you gem as a compliment. I call you that because I need you to actually live like one.
Gems know their worth without needing anyone to confirm it. Gems don't downgrade their energy to fit into rooms that were never built for their shine. Gems check every decision against their goals, their energy, and their mindset, not against fear, not against what everyone else is doing, not against who's watching.
So the next time I call you my gem, I need you to hear everything behind it. Your value. Your protection. Your standard. And every time fear tries to talk you out of your next move, you already know what to do.
Ask yourself G.E.M.
Then go be exactly who you already know you are.
xoxo
